There are many other things that can set a 36. MAF is probably OK if it`s
running OK. I had a CEL from a 36 for years. It ran perfectly so I blew it
off. It finally quit running and so I replaced it and that helped.

More likely it`s a MAF Burnoff relay. Less likely is a MAF Power
relay failure. Dealer replaced mine about 5 years ago with the
comment that the originals weren`t reliable. Since the car had
less than 50K miles, GM picked up the cost of the relays
(emission control related). I paid the $ 50 labor.
Last Detail has these for less than Eckler`s.

 party wagon says goodbye to party van. Yeah, so I just get a call yesterday from the car dealership that the car I bought in late July finally got approved for the Cash 4 Clunkers rebate.
I guess that’s nice? The car’s only seen 1000 miles thus far. Been riding my motorcycle too much!
